Negotiating diasporic leisure among Zimbabwean migrants in Britain

This article examines, from a theoretical and empirical perspective, the types of diasporic leisure experienced by Zimbabwean diaspora in Britain through extensive fieldwork, including interviews participant observation. It extends an emerging body scholarship concerning relationship between discussing different conceptualisations as homeland-oriented, boundary-crossing, technologically mediated. Specifically, this is done to highlight role practices play formation consciousness negotiating contesting transnational identities. The develops dialectic framework for understanding how activities reconnect Britain, enabling them construct identities country that construes “other.” paper’s central argument are activated, materialised mobilised practices.
